Commenting & Rules

I don’t really want to be writing rules and the like because I enjoy blogging and want this blog to be a little bit of light relief from the daily grind. So, lets get this bit over with and please remember that this blog welcomes all.

Here are the things you need to know about commenting here on The Wondering Brit

Commenting : If you don’t wish to use you’re own name, think one up or email me at twbrit@gmail.com and I’ll be more than happy to think one up for you.

So, you can click on two areas to add a comment, the first is the individual post title and the second is the word ‘COMMENTS’ under the main article. Here, have a look at this picture;

Links are mainly written in bold, often in block capitals and IN THIS COLOUR

The Rules & Information

Name : I use the name TWB, TWBrit or WonderingBrit in the Blogasphere, no  others – even if you know me. Don’t worry if you make the mistake, I’ll simply change it.

Swearing : No swearing – though some minor things are ok. The full ‘F’ and ‘C’ words are banned.

Maliciousness : No malicious intent. It’s okay to disagree, get angry even, but think before you type.

I do look up IP addresses as a matter of course, but really, I don’t want to be blocking any body

Inaccuracies : If you notice something wrong, email me and I will put it right.

Your Name : If you post a comment using your real name I’ll assume you are happy for that name to be published on the blog. I rarely use people’s names directly unless it’s possibly of use to them for me to do so. If you would rather I didn’t – email me (like I mention ‘Nic’ at the Coach & Horses pub, if you go there you’ll know who he is).

Copyright and Intellectual Property : I have no wish to use images or video that should be paid for. If I have unwittingly used something that is yours – let me know straight away so I can remove the said Item.

Intellectual Property is a very serious business on the internet and I do not wish to violate anyone’s IP rights in anyway.

I am however aware that certain rights are permissible in regards to promoting companies and products and I have used logos and the like here mainly in that context.

However, often when approaching companies they simply do not reply – this is taken as they simply no not care if something is used or not. Again, if this is a problem - email me straight away.

HOWEVER : DO NOT email threatening all sorts of legal action… simply ask…

Complaints and Disagreements of a more serious nature: In the first instance you MUST email me. The information I will need is this;

Who you are.

The article or post which you are not happy about.

The nature of the complaint.

How this affects you.

How you believe this affects the readers opinion.

Remember, you are most welcome here
