Only the other week when George Fullerton pasted away, I mentioned a standing invite to meet Les Paul. Something I 
have been looking forward to privately – yet had not acted upon.
Today the sad news came through that Les Paul has died due to complications with pneumonia in Ne
w York. I can’t say my sadness isn’t selfish, because in some part it is. I’m saddened, but not gutted because death is the sad reality of life.
But this man changed music, invented the electric guitar, the reverb effect and multi-track recording. With out him, music today simply would not be where it is.
I may have missed a huge opportunity, but the world has lost a true genius
