Last night I got Slimed

So last night I’m pottering around the blogs and ended as ever on RWS. Kathy was running a live chat in her blog while they were all watching a live debate with Hilary Clinton and the Obama bloke (or is that the wrong way around?)

I have never seen Obama talk or watched any video of him so I had a quick look around the web for a live video stream.

Sure enough MSNBC were streaming the debate so I sat back and watched.

I wasn’t listening too closely to the words being spoken; I was watching the choreographed candidates trying to hide their traits.

The upshot of this was disturbing…. In my own personal view I have not seen such a lost, slime ball fake sincerity ridden politician than Mr Obama.

He changed subjects that he didn’t know about with subjects that could not be avoided by the interviewers.

If Obama gets the nomination – then the best anyone can do (irrespective of which side of the fence they are on) is vote for McCain.

If it comes down to McCain vs. Clinton (which I believe it will) it will be a tough call and a very good selection for the real run to the White House.

Hilary Clinton is measurable; she is effectively the devil you know. You know her strength and certainly her weaknesses.

Obama seems to be using something about himself to gain free leverage and it’s not about his colour. I just don’t know enough about him to be able to comment on that.

I do not believe this man would make the right decision in a crisis – rather the wrong decision because of the feeling that he should be seen to act. And we’ve already had that.

  1. Ohhhhh yes he can!

  2. Hillary is the devil we know, which is why people are looking for something else.

  3. If Obama had, say, another eight years of high-level experience, I’d be a lot more likely to vote for him than I am currently.

Truthfully, I don’t like ANY of the candidates. If we could combine them all (including Romney in the mix, too), we might get someone I’d be willing to vote for.

Right now, though, I’m much more likely to vote for a ham sandwich (particularly if it’s on rye) than any of the people running for President.

  4. lol
I think you’re right and there’s a lot more issues now – more than ever. As such, most politicians wouldn’t be able to handle half of them.
